Towers of Midnight holds strong in the number one position for the third week straight, with the only other book from last week being The Exile by Diana Gabaldon. New entries this week include Bayou Moon and Alpha, with The Gathering Storm (Kindle Edition) making a return to the Amazon top 5 fantasy bestseller list this week.
Brandon Sanderson making the rounds again this week, interviewing across the fantasy blogosphere, and Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist offers a review of The Way of Kings. A few other reviews and interviews crossed this week including The Exile by Diana Gabaldon and an interview with Naomi Novik. A new Harry Potter film trailer was released, and don’t miss Pat Rothfuss in Clash of the Geeks. And, as always, The Guild with another home run episode.
The Gathering Storm drops out of the top five for the holiday season, and is replaced by The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Kindle edition. Really cool that readers are still out purchasing this classic, but now in a new digital format. Also, the number one spot gets taken over by another vampire book, with a, shall we say, less than original title.
Everything holds strong from last week, giving Breaking Dawn six weeks straight in the top five, two of those spent in the number one slot. This marks the book’s return to the top 5, due to the popularity of New Moon, the new Twilight movie being released about six weeks ago.
R.A. Salvatore’s The Demon Awakens holds strong in the number one slot for the second week straight, while the new Wheel of Time book, The Gathering Storm, co-authored by Brandon Sanderson premiers at number three, while the release date of the book is still more than two weeks away.
The Demon Awakens, a new R.A. Salvatore book independent of Wizards of the Coast and the Forgotten Realms saga premiers in the number one slot this week. The Time Traveler’s Wife gets knocked off, ending its twelve week reign in the top five. A Touch of Dead and Full Moon Rising move up a few spots, while An Echo in the Bone and According to Jane drop a few.
According to Jane makes its debut at number one, while Full Moon Rising slides to number four after two weeks at the top. The Time Traveler’s Wife finds itself in the top five for the tenth straight week.
